Born in 1994, I started painting when in primary school. However, after high school, I found myself detached from creative pursuits for about two years. Then comes the Architecture school era in MES School of Architecture, Kuttippuram for 5 years in which I was excited in creating spaces and related aesthetics. The world of architecture sparked my excitement for creation, but it wasn’t until after graduation and nearly four years of working as an architect that I rediscovered my love for fine art.
It was during a mentally challenging time that art once again found its way into my life. Initially drawn to abstract art, I used it as a way to express the chaos and emotions I felt, experimenting with new tools and techniques. The pandemic made a time to stop hustle and give more time for my artist brain to work. Thats when my home office turned to a studio replacing big material catalogues with art materials. I extended my subjects to life, refering photographs and through self studies. Working on life studies eventually made me to reflect the emotions and experiences in my life in the artworks.
Moving from my hometown to a new city after lockdown gave oppurtunity to meet new people and there I started a full time artist career, temporarily putting architecture on hold. In addition to paintings, I realized that applying my artistic skills to projects like branding, book covers, and packaging was an exciting and fulfilling way to expand my creative expression. It became a new avenue for me to blend art with purpose, helping businesses and individuals tell their stories visually.
